E Mixolydian scale for guitar.
The E Mixolydian is a seven-note scale, also called E Dominant Scale. Colored circles in the diagram mark the notes in the scale (darker color highlighting the root notes). In the fretboard pattern, the first root note is on the 6th string, 12th fret.

The E Mixolydian scale consists of seven notes. These can be described as steps on the guitar fingerboard according to the following formula: whole, whole, half, whole, whole, half and whole from the first note to the same in the next octave.
The E Mixolydian is a mode of the A Major Scale. It contains exactly the same notes, but starts on another note.
The E Mixolydian is the same as the E Major apart from one note, the seventh in the scale.
Mixolydian can also be described as a Dominant mode. It includes all the notes of the related Dominant 7th chord, which is characterized by the minor seventh interval (as seen in the comparison below).
