The A Lydian consists of seven notes. It can be described in steps as a formula which is written as whole, whole, whole, half, whole, whole, half from the first note to first note in the next octave.
A Lydian is the fourth mode of E Major scale, they contain the same notes, but starts on different notes. Lydian deviates with only one note, the 4th, compared to the Major.
