The A flat Mixolydian consists of seven notes. It can be described in steps as a formula which is written as whole step, whole step, half step, whole step, whole step, half step and whole step from the first note to first note in the next octave.
The Ab Mixolydian is the fifth mode of the Db Major Scale, they contain the same notes, but starts on different notes.
Mixolydian deviates with only one note, the 7th, compared to the Major. The mode has similarities to the dominant 7th chord.
