The second degree is written as E#, which is the same as F. The third degree is written as F##, which is the same as G. The fourth degree is written as G##, which is the same as A. The sixth degree is written as B#, which is the same as C. The seventh degree is written as C##, which is the same as D. In scale notation, the same note letter should not be included twice, if it can be avoided.

The D sharp Lydian consists of seven notes. It can be described in steps as a formula which is written as whole, whole, whole, half, whole, whole, half from the first note to first note in the next octave.
D# Lydian is the fourth mode of A# Major scale, they contain the same notes, but starts on different notes. Lydian deviates with only one note, the 4th, compared to the Major.
